Over the past few months, BeWell partners have been working hard to bring new key stakeholders on board to embark on and enrich our journey towards a more digital and green healthcare sector. We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone: the Pact for Skills Large-Scale Skills Partnership (LSP) for the Health Ecosystem reaches 50 members! This achievement underscores our collective commitment to strengthening skills across the health sector. As we look ahead, we eagerly anticipate welcoming more organizations and stakeholders who share our vision for a future-ready workforce equipped with the skills to drive Europe’s green and digital transition.

Learn about the 2nd LSP In-Person Workshop in Brussels.

As LSP flagship event of the year, the 2nd in-person workshop was held on November 20, 2024, at the EIT House in Brussels to advance the co-creation process kicked-off in the 1st LSP workshop discussion and in light of the BeWell’s Online Public Consultation (OPC) early results. With over 35 participants, five discussion groups and three interactive sessions, the event was a unique occasion to discuss:

  • Workforce Challenges:
Participants explored issues such as upskilling, reskilling, and the lack of accredited training pathways.
  • Digital Transformation Roles:
Emphasis was placed on emerging roles like clinical informatics specialists and digital clinical safety officers, highlighting their importance in modern healthcare.
  • Green Skills Development:
Discussions centered on fostering sustainability and innovative practices within health systems, aligning with the EU’s green transition goals.
  • Co-Creation and Partnerships:
Strategies for co-creation and fostering partnerships to address policy and implementation gaps were actively debated.

Moreover, this gathering was an opportunity to establish the first official public exchange between our Health LSP and the two recently launched health-related LSPs on Long-Term Care and Health Industry, which were presented by the respective coordinators Social Services Europe and EIT Health, laying the foundations for a solid and fruitful future cross-sectoral collaboration.
