The eHealth Stakeholder Group is an advisory body established by the European Commission to support the development and implementation of eHealth policies and initiatives across the EU, and it is led by DG CNECT and DG SANTE. The Group consists of representatives from various stakeholders, including patients, healthcare professionals, industry associations, insurers, regional authorities, and other relevant organizations, and it aims to provide expertise and strategic advice to the European Commission on matters related to digital health. The main objective of the eHealth Stakeholder Group is to assist the Commission in the preparation of legislative proposals and policy initiatives, such as the European Health Data Space, while facilitating cooperation and collaboration among different stakeholders and providing input and recommendations on specific topics.
EUREGHA has once again been included in the eHealth Stakeholder Group of the European Commission for the period 2023 – 2026, marking an important milestone in EUREGHA’s activities and contribution to the EU. In fact, EUREGHA’s inclusion in the group enables us to provide inputs, expertise and knowledge to the Commission and the other Group’s members. In doing so, EUREGHA will represent views, concerns and relevant activities from its members, regional and local health authorities, building, for instance, on publications such as our Position Statement on the European Health Data Space.
