ERRIN Health WG Meeting: Fostering Innovation Procurement in Health

On 10 December, EUREGHA proudly participated in the ERRIN Health Working Group meeting on “Innovation Procurement in Health,” held in Brussels. The event explored the opportunities innovation procurement offers in driving demand for innovative healthcare products and services, and how EU frameworks can support this transformation.

Lieve Bos from European Commission – DG Research and Innovation explored innovation procurement models, emphasizing the benefits of PCP and the importance of regulatory sandboxes to foster cross-border collaboration and enable groundbreaking solutions.

Anders Ulrik Kristoffersen and Kasper Qvist Færgemann from Capital Region of Denmark addressed the critical pressures facing the Danish healthcare system, including workforce challenges and rising demands, while highlighting the need for innovative procurement to deliver better care within budget constraints.

Jorge Gonzalez Olalla from Ticbiomed showcased demand-driven innovation frameworks, regional-friendly PCP models, and InnoHSupport’s comprehensive coaching and matchmaking services, promoting impactful procurement strategies for sustainable healthcare innovation.
