On 22 March, the first SUNFRAIL Transnational Workshop will take place in Bologna, Italy. The full-day event will gather all project partners as well as a number of external experts to immerse into the topics of frailty and multimorbidity in the older population.
During the morning session, the state-of-the-art of the SUNFRAIL project will be presented, along with the definitional challenges of the concept of frailty. Moreover, the Italian project Mattone Internazionale will present and participants will hear about various European initiatives on frailty and multimorbidity.
Creating synergies between different initiatives and activities on frailty and multimorbidity is crucial to avoid duplicating work and to promote mutual learning. During the workshop, participants will hear from inter alia Action Group A2 on “Falls prevention” of the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP AHA).
In the afternoon, group discussions will be organised bearing on the themes of “Good practices on frailty and multimorbidity” and on the “SUNFRAIL operational definition of frailty and multimorbidity”.
