EUREGHA together with the Directorate-General for Health and Consumers, the European Commission Information Society and Media and COCIR has pro-actively taken part in the organisation of the Health Village within the framework of the Open Days 2008. A series of events were organised between the 6th and 9th October and focused on various aspects of health, such as health investment, the Community programme in the field of health, health prevention, the use of e-health as a means to ensure sustainability and equal access to treatment and the implementation of the care-cycle approach to healthcare. The new Health Commissioner, Androulla Vassiliou, intervened in the first panel with the Regional Health Ministers of Veneto, Catalunya and Flanders, and other distinguished speakers.
