In the fight against childhood obesity, regional and local authorities have a significant role to play. This is the key massage addressed in the occasion of the EPODE Mayors’ Club European Event that will be held in Brussels on 27 June 2008.
The EPODE Mayors’ Club aims at promoting how regional and local authorities can prevent and control childhood obesity in a sustainable way.
EPODE is an effective community-based initiative developed and implemented to prevent and control childhood obesity. Childhood obesity is a growing public health concern in Europe and all stakeholders, including regional and local authorities, have to engage to tackle this major public health issue.
